With Brett as your dedicated instructor, every lesson is designed to pave your path to success, offering sheet music, advanced technique, and comprehensive music theory to help you effortlessly converse in the universal language of music, even in the digital age.
Lessons at Mauka Melodies have adapted to the changing times, offering both in-person and virtual sessions, ensuring flexibility and accessibility to students worldwide with a stable internet connection. Our comfortable tropical studio is nestled in the downtown are of Kona, at the commercial ground level at Kona Ali’i. Check out our Blog for more info.
In 2024, we recommend committing to a few months of weekly instruction to maximize your progress, where your dedication outside of lessons is key. Brett, as your instructor, is committed to helping you achieve quick mastery of your instrument. Remember, hard work pays off! For pricing, one-hour lessons can be availed either in person for $70 per hour per individual or online, allowing you to learn from anywhere. An email link is provided each week for your Google Meet session with Brett. Ensure a good internet connection, a functioning camera, and a properly tuned instrument for efficient learning.
Private Group/Family lessons come with discounts based on the number of students, accommodating both Big Island visitors and residents upon request.
Our new studio is conveniently located in downtown Kona, just a five minute walk from The Royal Kona. Look for The Kona Ali’i commercial property just north of Coconut Grove. Our groovy tropical studio is located on the ground level in the breezeway.

Our music studio is proudly dog-friendly, with KUA, our mellow dog, often joining lessons. He's well-behaved and great with kids. If you prefer a dog-free environment, please inform us in advance.
